DUBAI or ABU DHABI? A question for OFW’s.

Well this blog was made out of boredom. Forgive me for any grammar and writing mistakes.
I’ve been thinking lately if I should stay here in Dubai or I should go back to Abu Dhabi.
Here are MY OWN comparisons between the two as an OFW.

  • PEACEFUL AND QUIET- there’s not much people like here in Dubai. You won’t see that much people strolling outside at night time. It’s like a province when you have experienced living in Manila or Dubai.
  • AFFORDABLE – Flats and rooms are cheaper. Even carlifts are affordable, too!
  • ALCOHOL – it’s easier (and sooooooo much cheaper) to buy liquor in Abu Dhabi. There are stores where you can personally buy them and there’s no need for license or whatever.
  • PARKS – there are accessible parks EVERYWHERE (and Filipinos playing basketball)! You can jog around for your cardio, have your birthday barbecue party or your office’s team building.
  • POPULAR LANDMARKS – Grand Mosque, Ferrari World, Yas Island.

  • TRANSPORTATION – Dubai has the Metro which makes places accessible.
  • MALLS – more malls than Abu Dhabi and not to mention, luxurious.
  • SALE – Endless SALE offers here in Dubai. There’s GITEX, DSF, DSS, EID and many more!
  • 24 HOURS – There are 24-hour supermarket with delivery everywhere. Some restaurants are operating 24 hours, too.
  • PORK – Filipinos love pork. It’s easier and cheaper to buy pork here in Dubai. Almost all supermarkets have non-muslim areas where they offer pork.
  • NIGHTLIFE – it’s hard to buy alcohol here in Dubai when you’re at home. You have to call someone to deliver liquor at your doorstep and it’s quite expensive BUT there are a lot of clubs and bars that offer alcohol. Weird right? You can party and have a nightlife here in Dubai than in Abu Dhabi
  • POPULAR LANDMARKS – Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain, Atlantis, The Palm, Burj Al Arab, JBR, Dubai Creek, and a lot more.
